Sidebar in a Can does just that. /path/sidebar > /tmp/sidebar_$$.html; mv /tmp/sidebar_$$.html /path/sidebar.html" each minute.

  • Advertise sidebar URL http://example.com/sidebar.html and continue to use http://example.com/cgi-bin/sidebar for administrative purposes.

    • This will have one updated sidebar for the whole site instead of one per visitor.
